After weeks of development and testing, FileStar released version Inflation v1.2.1.

It includes the following changes:

  1. Increase the block gas limit;
  2. Fixed some bugs.

This version is a mandatory upgrade. The fork will happen at the height of 184560, which is expected at 2 PM on December 30th(GMT+8). Please complete upgrading before then. After the fork, FileStar will support Intel CPU-based miners to join the network. The FileStar mainnet has been online for two weeks, and the current storage power of the network exceeds 5 PiB, with 50 active miners. The FileStar network is increasing rapidly and the newly added storage power in the past 24 hours is up to 1.5 PiB. The influx of a large amount of storage power has laid a good foundation for the healthy development of FileStar.

自10月30日第一版主网上线以来,FileStar目前已有20名活跃矿工,网络积累452TiB算力。

按照之前计划,FileStar基金会已向支持STAR交易的合作交易所内用户进行了空投,并完成对Filecoin矿工的两轮空投。

空投详情如下:

  • 北京时间10月31日22时,向Filecoin主网193526高度所有算力大于0的矿工的owner地址空投0.01STAR,共计596个地址获得空投;
  • 北京时间10月30日19时,向鲸交所用户空投5000STAR;
  • 北京时间11月3日10时,向Gate.io用户空投32963.29STAR。

截至11月3日,FileStar基金会累计向Filecoin矿工和合作交易所FIL持币用户空投37968.296枚STAR。其中,向合作交易所用户空投部分STAR出自交易所与钱包合作预留部分的1%;向矿工空投部分STAR出自基金会启动节点获得的挖矿奖励。

STAR目前流通量为48328STAR,绝大部分来自空投,少量来自解锁的矿工奖励。基金会持有部分将锁仓一年,自上线第二年开始解锁。

FileStar无预挖,无私募,矿工挖矿无前置抵押。STAR代币总量为20亿枚。具体分配方式如下:

WindowPoST is an important design used by Filecoin to prove data storage. After data in the sector is sealed, it is necessary to keep proving the data storage in the life cycle of the sector. This is the original intention of WindowPoST. Filecoin organizes all valid Sectors into Partitions, each Partition has 2349 Sectors. The Sectors in each Partition are randomly checked to generate proofs. Each Sector needs to be checked, and every 2349 Sectors need to submit a proof within half an hour. The design of WindowPoST has the following problems when there are more effective sectors:

Window PoST是Filecoin用来证明数据存储的重要设计。在Sector数据封存后,需要“持续”在Sector的生命周期证明Sector数据对应的复制数据依然存储,这个也就是Window PoST设计的初衷。Filecoin将所有有效Sector,每2349整理成一个Partition,每个Partition中的Sector进行抽查生成证明。简单的说,每个Sector都需要抽查,并且每2349个Sector就需要在半小时内提交一次证明。Window PoST的设计在有效Sector比较多的情况下,存在如下的一些问题:

a. TPS问题:大矿工在存力大于2.5P左右,每半个小时都需要至少提交一次Window PoST的证明,增加了网络拥堵的可能性。

b. 存力恢复问题:如果一次Window PoST的证明未及时提交,或者证明出错,需要在24小时后才能再次提交,极大的增加了运维人员的负担和网络的可靠性。

本文提出了recursive Window PoST的设计,解决以上的两个问题。先介绍一下recursive Window PoST的核心设计:

1/ 何为recursive Window PoST?

简单的说,recursive Window PoST是将多个Window PoST“聚合”在一起。每2349个Sector生成一个Sector证明,多个Sector证明可以聚合在一起,通过零知识证明技术,生成“Sector聚合证明”。Sector证明不需要提交到链上,只需要将最后聚合生成的“Sector聚合证明”提交上链即可。整体的流程示意如下:


北京时间10月30日下午3时,FileStar第一版主网(BigBang v1.0.0)已正式在Github发布。FileStar区块链浏览器也已同步上线,用户可在浏览器观察网络运行状况。

该版本FileStar网络取消了Filecoin的前置抵押,并相应地将区块奖励解锁机制恢复为180天线性解锁。这一改动消除了Filecoin矿工封装扇区时前置抵押的压力。此外,该版本将出块限制从10TiB降低为32GiB,仅需封装一个扇区就可参与出块,对小矿工更公平、更友好。

经过大量优化和测试后,FileStar修复了Filecoin多个严重bug,并将挖矿效率在最新benchmark的标准上提升了近70%。经济模型上,FileStar无预挖、无私募、无前置抵押,并且预留了生态发展基金,对矿工和用户都更公平友好。技术上,FileStar将兼容AMD和Intel的矿机,并将利用Recursive zk-SNARK和VRF在保证安全性的前提下降低矿工工作量,大规模提升网络TPS。
